Whole Wheat Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

We made these cookies a couple weeks ago, and they are seriously DELICOUS!
Recipe from: chocolateandcarrots.com
You will need:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole wheat flower
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups old fashioned oats
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the butter and sugars together.
4. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and beat well.
5. Add whole wheat flour and beat until combined.
6. Add in the baking powder, baking soda, and salt, beating until well combined.
7. Add in oats and beat until combined. My cookie dough started to get pretty thick, so I switched to a spatula to combine the oats.
8. Stir in the chocolate chips.
9. Scoop dough onto the cookie sheet.
10. Bake 10-12 minutes.

Be careful not to take your eyes of the cookies... They might start to disappear.

I cooled my cookies on the sheet for about 5 minutes, then moved them
to cooling racks until they were completely cooled.

  3. A woman after my own heart! I make this recipe also, these cookies are so good! I only use brown sugar, and a little agave nectar (for sweetness)! Love these cookies, wish I had some right now!
